Live Chat Software – ChatStat

Screensharing on the fly through a browser with no install, now incorporated.

I am very excited to announce that www.ChatStat.com and www.LiveLook.net have joined forces to provide “permission based” screen sharing to our clients. This will allow one of three scenarios:

  • Operator guides visitor but cannot control screen.
  • Operator guides visitor, and can control screen.

Here is how it works, a visitor comes to your site and asks for help. Then they enter into a conversation with an operator. If the operator can not easily guide the customer using written text, or wishes to show the customer a slide show or sales pitch, the operator may initiate a “May I show you my screen?” engagement. If the customer agrees, then the customer may view the operators screen. Alternatively, the operator may send a “May I have temporary remote control over your computer to provide assistance?”, and if the customer agrees, then the operator may provide direct technical support.

The key difference between livelook.net technology, and other companies, is that they do not require the web visitor or operator to install software of any kind at any point during the help session.

Lastly, livelook.net appears to be very compatible across the board, supporting linux and mac, as well as the common pc.

This new feature will be available in our next major patch, and later today to our beta users.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Nick Matina
