It just occured. We accidentally uploaded a flawed script in an attempt to fix a scrolling problem. This caused the ability to start live chat instances with customers to be temporarily disabled.

This is now corrected, with a total down time of about five minutes.

Thank you for your understanding.

Just a clarification… we are still 100% FREE BETA.

The beta will be ending on or about DEC 1.

At that time the FOD (Features on Demand) will be hooked up and running. Everybody will still get 7 days for free to try out what ever they wish, and then after that, features on demand will be charged for.

Also some recent changes

 

1.) – About Box

 

            About box is now a small form that shows Terms and Version.

 

 

2.) – Email Signature (Create Signature button)

 

            Email Signature now has a button that displays when Signature HTML Snippet is selected

            this button allows user to create a signature for Outlook if Path Exists

            C:\Documents and Settings\[user name]\Application Data\Microsoft\Signature

 

 

3.) – Global Settings Menu: “Site Setup” takes to the same page of “Website Manager”

 

            THEY ARE INDEED THE SAME. CHANGE “WEBSITE MANAGER” to “SITE SETUP”

            IN OTHER WORDS USE THE WORDS SITE SETUP INSTEAD OF WEBSITE MANAGER IN ALL

            CASES IN THE SOFTWARE, THIS WILL END CONFUSION ON THIS I HOPE.

 

 

4.) – Snippet Changed to Website HTML Snippet Selectetion

 

            Website HTML Snippet, E-Bay HTML Snippet, Signature HTML Snippet, Offsite HTML Snippet, Flash Snippet?

 

 

5.) – ID: 261 GEOPOSITION > loading message.

 

            show a LOADING… message while waiting for GEO MAP.

 

            All web pages and logs load through the ChatStat Explorer.       

            Added a Label to ToolStrip… Label shows “Loading…”

            Once Web Page is Executed Label shows “Done”

 

 

6.) – ID: 262  use wordwrap when displaying text log files.

           

            Created Word Wrap for Log Files… When Text is written to Log File

            the words in the message are checked… If the characters in the “worded”

            message exceed 80 then the a line break is inserted…When the Log File

            is displayed… each line will have a character length of 80….

            Visitors will be presented with the option to select online operators or all operators….

 

            If an offline operator is selected user will be prompted with the following

            [PUT DROP DOWN LIST OF OTHER OPERATORS IN STANDARD FORMAT]

 

            Or would you like to leave them a message?

            the message is routed to the call center…. so the operator will be notified the next time the login

 

 

 

9.) –  ID: 251  If you are away, it must take a message.

 

            if an operator is away or offline…. Visitors will be able to leave a message for a specific operator

 

 

 

10.) – ID: 265  DOUBLE CLICK on task view icon still does not bring all windows to front.

 

            Prevoiusly windows would come to front for me when I clicked the system tray icon

            was there any specific type of window that would not come to front.. AIM, ChatStat ICQ etc.,  … or none worked

            Changed from using the .Activate() mehod to using .BringToFront() method

 

 

11.) – You cannot view Skype Text History unless you pull the correct text using the API, or look in the LOGS directory of Skype.

 

            Skype history is viewable from chatstat if history for the user exists…

12.) –  Updated Flash Html Snippet to include:

            Allows user to enter the width and height of snippet

            Also the Callback button for snippet is centered under the Flash Movie

            Changed the Invite boxes to show tiled vertically along the

            left side of screen vs. Showing Center Screen…

            my screen display only allows up to 1024×768 also tested for 800×600

 

15.) – make email addresses and links work with one click. ID: 272

           

           

            if you click on an email, it shold open your mail client.

            if you click on an address it should open the url in a default browser, and not chatstat window.

 

            Added clickable email links in the incomming text section….

           

            formatted email inside the window as mailto:someemail@msn.com

“mailto:” tag preceeding the email address will not be displayed to the window it is hidden from the actual window and user would just see someemail@msn.com

           

when clicked the defaul mail client would open….

 

 

            links clicked through the in the chatwindow will now open with default browser

 

 

16.) – phone icon VOIP CALL BACK is not working web side. ID: 275

 

            tested voip call back via phone icon…

            able to send a callback as international, U.S., or skype user….

            callback: name, number, message delivered to the call center…

            able to call the skype user, or number with the call button… and the callback is routed through skype

 

 

17.) – Bug “COPY PASTE should be SIMPLE from withing the chat window.” (#277)

 

            Created Right-Click Context Menu to allow Undo, Cut, Copy, Paste, Delete, Select All..

 

 

18.) – Bug “OUT TABS should load last.” (#278)

           

            Drawer Tabs set to load last in the overall load sequence.

19.) – Bug “new away MESSAGE system seems to have broken old message system.” (#281)

 

            when user is away the message will now go to the call center..

            and provide the visitors: email, name, message….

New “AWAY MESSAGING SYSTEM” is up.

This new system provides your customer with a fork in the road when they come across a specific person they want to speak with. Because ChatStat is operator aware, it allows your customers to purposely choose people that are not available, and leave them a message. Alternatively, they can also choose to speak with somebody who is online.

The next time the operator  opens the CHATSTAT application, the CALL CENTER flyout will open and display the missed chat call.

Multiple Site Live Chat Support.

Multiple Site Live Chat Support is now fully operational. To setup more than one site, simply go to the SITE MANAGER and add as many sites as you wish.

After you have created these new sites, you can then go to the OPERATOR MANAGER and put any existing operators into any department inside of any site you are monitoring.

This will cause ChatStat to line up all of the sites  you are watching in separate “compartments” within the main IM CONTROL PANEL.

MovingGraph undergoing a server move.

MovingGraph stastics are down right now as we complete moving the entire statistical crunching system to a new quad core server. This will allow us to separate live chat and im from statistics crunching, thus providing a much faster response time to all real time operations.

We apologize for the inconveniance and expect to put MOVINGGRAPH back online before Monday of next week.

Putting Live Chat in your Forum Signature.

For forums, cut out just the link, and paste that as a html link into your forum signature. So for example, if your offsite html looked like this….

<a href=”http://www.chatstat.com/chatstat_offsiteHandle.asp?csuid=1&email=NICK@CHATSTAT.COM&#8221; target=”_blank”><img border=”0″ src=”http://www.chatstat.com/clients/1/online.gif”></a&gt;

Then the forum link would look like this:

http://www.chatstat.com/chatstat_offsiteHandle.asp?csuid=1&email=NICK@CHATSTAT.COM

What is really fun is to make a smily, and then add this html link to it, so when you click on the smily, it opens a chat!

This html link can be placed ANYWHERE.

Sure, just go to:

GLOBAL SETTINGS> CHATSTAT SETTINGS> WEBSITE HTML.

From there, choose the EMAIL SIGNATURE CODE.

This will create an html file and place it in your MICROSOFT OUTLOOK or other mail client> SIGNATURE field.

QUAD XEON 4GB RAM, 2x320GB(SCSI), RAID 0, SQL STAT CRUNCHING ENGINE.

What does this mean in English? A dedicated box made JUST for crunching your site statistics.  You will soon start to see ALOT of different moving graphs.

Also, becuase we have now split this into a separate process from live chat, it means that both systems will now work faster.
