Windows Vista Speech Recognition fully tested: Passed with flying colors!

Posted in Uncategorized by chatstat on April 14, 2007

Much less typing for Windows Vista users! I am writing this post right now by speaking into my microphone.

Additionally, I have just spent my first day using Windows Vista Speech Recognition engine to do the typing for me in several live chats today. Its accuracy is amazing. Furthermore, I tried something very cool! Turn on LANGUAGE TRANSLATION and use it in conjunction with speech recognition, and you can literally speak another language.

One of the next revolutionary things with speech recognition will be to blend it with on the fly language translation, and then speak it back out on the VISITOR side using TEXT TO SPEECH!

We are working on this technology now. So you can truly speak in other languages through the internet!

Here is an article to help you get started with speech recognition and live chat using the ChatStat customer engagement system:

More to come on this one…

AJAX Chat Icon Code is now in place. Superfast, fault tolerant, low bandwidth solution!

Posted in Uncategorized by chatstat on April 13, 2007

Now that we have implemented this new Ajax script to load the LIVE CHAT icon for websites, you will see no more pinging, refreshing, delay, or possible downtime when loading your CLICK HERE TO CHAT buttons.

It used to be that our system would load an icon and use this to check to see if a visitors status had changed. Although this system works perfectly, it is inefficient, and limits the speed at which an update can be made to between 1 and 15 seconds, depending on how fast you set it. The faster you check it, the more bandwidth used, but the less latency the client will feel.
In our new Ajax based system, the image must only load once. Instead of our system constantly “pinging” the icon for updates, the new system actually only sends a communciation from the web visitor when and IF something changes! What this means is that over the course of a minutes time, if a visitor only moves around 3 times, only 3 transmissions need to be sent relaying the new location, rather than 30 tranmissions (one being sent every five seconds), relaying the CURRENT position.

This is kind of a technical explanation, but the bottom line is, ChatStat will now be:

  • More Reliable.
  • Much much Faster!!!!
  • In the unlike event ChatStat servers should become available, your website will be UNAFFECTED!

More updates are on the way! Thanks for your continued support.

Version 2.5 of ChatStat Released. (Price Sheet enclosed)

Posted in Special Report by chatstat on April 13, 2007

As many of you have noticed version 2.5 is now released. The biggest change by far is SIMPLIFIED PRICING, a brand new POP UP EDITOR, and a much updated and streamlined Features on Demand system. The Features On Demand control panel and the wallet are now only available to administrators.

By completely revamping the Feature on Demand system we hope to provide you, our valued customer, with a simple way to purchase just the features you need. We do not want to force our customers into PACKAGES (Pro, Lite, Executive) or VERSIONS with yearly licenses and fees. With ChatStat, you already get all of the basics of live chat for FREE. Features on Demand allow you to add just the features you need to your site that add advanced functionality. Have a look at the list below.

For detailed information on what each of these Features on Demand do, please go to your own FOD control panel, and you will see detailed descriptions. You can also read more about these features in our newly updated and online PDF MANUAL located here:
